Sad Thief Steals Kindergarten Piggy Banks

A low life thief broke in through a window of a kindergarten school and stole 38 piggy banks belonging to the poor children that go to the school. Once the children found out that they had been stolen they all burst into tears.

Prajuab Khirikhan – December 23, 2013 [PDN]; at 09.00, Pol.Lt.Col.Aphithan Panutai, detective of Hua Hin police station, was notified that a thief stole from Bannongkhon school, Hua hin-Nongplab road, Hinlekfai, Hua hin, so he went to the crime scene. The building was a one storey building with 2 rooms, it belonged to the child development center that is subordinated to Hinlekfai sub district administration office, Hua hin,found. Miss Wipawee Tepnimit, 28 who is a teacher there was waiting for to the police. She took the police to the class room where there were 38 piggy banks each with each student’s picture on the top, and each contained more than 100 baht. Totalling 4,000 baht. They were all stole and after the kids knew it happened, they all cried. The police found that the window was broken open and they then collected fingers prints for the forensic department to keep.

The teacher said that almost all of her students were poor, so she taught them to be economical, and she promised them that if they raised enough money she would take them to the bank, but unfortunately all the piggy banks had been stolen. Luckily for the next room the thief may have got frightened and left. The police expected that the thief could be some local teenage junky.

I was very saddened by this report,so much so that I emailed the Editor of Pattaya Daily News offering to donate THB10,000 to the children to cover the theft but got no reply from PDN-anybody know how to give the children their smiles back ?
