Tourist Shot Over Tent Space

A Tourist who was at a camping site in Petchaboon had been arguing with a fellow camper over the space for his ten. He was then shot with an 11mm pistol. The gun man fled the scene.

PETCHABOON – December 20, 2013 [PDN]; at 23.30, at a camp site in Phu Tabberk, Lomkao, Petchaboon. Mr.Boonlert Artkij, a 46 years old male from Janthaburi, was shot in his right chest which pierced his lung severely injuring him. He was rushed to Lomsak hospital.

From asking an eye witness he said that they were fighting over a space for their tents. Then the other man took out a gun and shot Mr.Boonlert, severely injuring him in front of 30 tourists.

The gun man was with 5 people around 30-35 years old who had come to the camp site together. After the shooting they all fled in black Proton van licence number Kor Kor 2323. They fled in the direction of Bangkok.
