Canterbury Tales is good choice, no cooking facilities but you are in the middle of the Cheap Charlies Restaurant Row and you won't have time to cook yourself and it is easier and cheaper than cooking yourself.

Have you looked at Canterbury Tales Cafe?

Should give you somewhere to start

or perhaps Hillside Resort?

I saw on website of hillside resort a claimer that it is indeed guest friendly. I wonder if it means the same as we mongers know "guest friendly" to be. Also, do the bhat buses go that far (beyond south Rd.). It seems like a very nice place to stay for just 600 bht/day. But don't want to get stuck there due to lack of transportation.

What about cantenbury tales? Guest friendly? What about transportation to/from this place to Soi6 ?

Canterbury Tales indeed guest friendly and right on the 24 hours Baht bus route for 10 baht and is in the middle of some good mongering places. Hillside is bigger, better, nicer and has a pool. Don't know about guest friendly but I do know that it is not on the baht bus routes, but motorcycle taxi's are usually available and it is not likely to be a monger's hangout. CT has best breakfast bargain in Pty.

It really depends on what rocks your boat.

great info ... looks like CT might be a better bet for mongering than hillside resorts - especially given the convenience of bhat buses and not having to hunt around for a decent breakfast.

It confuse me mate . if i dont mistake, 'Asia hotel' and 'pattaya water park' and 'hillside resort' all are in one road

I remember we went to 'asia hotel&water park' from and to twon very easy by cars that passengers sit back of them and many of them are in pattaya , if means of baht bus is something else i dont know

or maybe these three places aren't on one road but as i check pattaya map , all are on pratamnak road

went to both CT and Hill, CT seems shitty but it's in the middle of everything and cheap. Hill is nice but in the middle of nowhere and expensive, and they want 400 baht extra a month just for internet. I asked if I just say for half month and it will still be 400 baht and that applies to standard, S with balcony and sea view. pretty expensive! I think I might pick CT. how's the safety and noise in CT? I tho it said it has security camera but it doesn't, seems like a really old house with updated furniture. next time I might pick CT but would perfer something in between CT and hill. any reocmmendations? thanks
