Aussie Man Drowns In Front Of Friends

An elderly Australian tourist who went for a swim drowned in front of his friends. His friends tried to help but were too late. The police think it was due to a long term heart disease problem which he was taking medication for.

TRANG – December 20,2013 [PDN]; Palian police, Trang, was reported there was a foreigner who drowned in the sea of , Koh Liang beach, moo 1, Koh Sukorn, Phetra islands national park. The brought forces which consisted of Kantang marine police, Trang tourist police, and Kusol Sathan foundation, Toongyao, rescuers.

They found the deceased man was a Mr.Poss Walter, 72 years old from Australia who had no signs of foul play to him body. The medical team said that he had died from drowning, his belongings a gold ring and a watch were still on the body and all his documents were still in his room. The police found a bag of heart disease pills so they kept them for evidence.

The police were told that he had checked in on December 15, and he would go back to his hometown on December 22. He went into the sea for a swim and drowned in front of his friends who tried to help but was too late. His body was sent to Palian hospital who will inform his relatives to arrange for his body to be sent back to Australia.
