Pattaya Countdown 2014 Attracts Top Bands

Pattaya city prepares its self for the Countdown 2014 festival which goes on for 7 days 7 nights starting on Christmas Eve. This year will see many top bands preforming for the 800,000- 1 million tourists who are expected to over the festive period.

PATTAYA – December 19, 2013 [PDN]; at 2.00 p.m. Mr. Itthiphol Khunpluem (the Lord Mayor of Pattaya city), Mr. Wittaya Khunpluem (the Chairman of Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization), Mrs. Kamalasiri Issarangkul Na Ayuddhaya (Deputy Managing Director of MCOT Public Company Limited), Mr. Samrit Luweeraphan (the representative from Thai Beverage Co., Ltd.) and Mr. Kullaphong Boonnark (the Managing Director of MTV Thailand) together held a press conference about the arrangement of Pattaya Countdown 2014 festival at the 1st floor of the hall, Operation 1 building of MCOT Public Company Limited.

Pattaya Countdown 2014 festival will be from December 25-31, 2013 at south Pattaya quayside (Balihai cape), Chonburi province with the cooperation of Pattaya city, Chonburi Provincial Administration Organization, MCOT Public Company Limited and Thai Beverage Co., Ltd. that have together arranged for this activity for the past 5 years.
Mr. Itthiphol (the Lord Mayor of Pattaya city) revealed that Pattaya Countdown 2014 festival this year will be arranged better than previous years. There will be lots of talented musicians like Paradox, Sweet Mullet, AB Normal, Kala, Bodyslam, Clear, Da-Endorphin, Mild, Buddha Bless, Chin-Chinnawuth, Moderndog and Big Ass.

This year’s style of activity will be the combination of applied arts and culture that emphasise on Thai tradition. The festival will last for 7 days 7 nights. Every night there will be lots of performances and firework diplays.
“Pattaya Countdown 2014” is the longest activity for Pattaya city and will start on Christmas eve until new year’s eve. This is to promote tourism in Pattaya to show tourists that Pattaya city is a great safe place to visit. Organisers are expecting about 800,000-1 million tourists with at least 200 million THB revenue over this 7 days festival.
