Catching a bus at the depot on Pattaya Nua is easy, but I am ignorant of which stop will get me closest to Sukhumvit Nana 4 and the best way(s) from that stop to SN4.

I would appreciate enlightenment from someone knowledgeable.

Bus to Ekamai, then skytrain to Nana.

The bus will take to the Bangkok depot next to Ekamai BTS station. About 10 minutes by skytrain to Nana.

Mr T................ 1000 door to door.............  no brainer

Another alternative is the airport bus from the stop in Jomtien opposite Pan Pan restaurant on Thap Phraya road, get off at airport and take lift to basement and catch the city line skytrain to Phaya Tai, then swap to the BTS to Bering.  Total cost is 124B + 25 B.  If you have much luggage this option can be a nuisance, though I've done it with a carry on case plus larger case around 28Kg and small backpack.

Thanks fellas - much appreciated.:

If you don't have luggage, get off at Udom Suk and get the BTS/Skytrain from there to Nana.  Will cut around 30 minutes off the journey as it avoids the Sukhumvit congestion.

A couple months ago used Bell to go from Dynasty Inn at Nana to

Page 10 Pattaya. Door to door. Took about 3.5 hours but

comfortable vans and the long haul bus had a working

toilet. I had gotten some take out so enjoyed a nice meal

on the bus. Plan on doing it again in a few days.

When you are at the bus station on North Pattaya Rd you have 2 choices for bus to bkk.

You an go to Mo Chit station or you can take bus that goes to Ekkamai station on Sukhumvit  Rd.

If youre going to Nana (Sukumvit soi 4) you want to take the bus that goes to Ekkamai, just as the

previous poster  has stated.  You can stay on the bus until Ekkamai bus station (BTS-sky train adjacent)

or you can get off the bus at  any other sky-train staion  as the bus procedes along Sukhumvit Rd

Sometimes I get off at On Nut station and take the skytrain from there. When you get off at

Nana station you will be near soi 7 and you can wallk to soi 4(nana plaza0 from there.

While you in the neighbourhood, if your hungry you can try the lunch counter inside Foodland

SuperMarket on soi 5. Good food. Reasonable price. Many working girls go there to eat.

There's a 3rd Bangkok bus too (from the North Pattaya Bus Station) but it goes to the Bangkok Southern Bus Station which is of little use unless you're continuing on down south, to Hua Hin or the islands.

That's what I would do. I used to get off at the Lotus On-Nut, but now there's a station farther out, UdomSuk.

It's 124 baht not 134 baht!

Silly to take a taxi from Ekkamai as you'll sit in very heavy traffic.  The BTS Skytrain will take 8 minutes and cost you about 25 baht.  Even better, as has already been said, get off at Udom Suk and take the BTS from there.

Is a taxi service that is very good.....  1000 means it cost 1000 THB door to door.

Look on the forum and search for MR T, there are bound to be plenty of posts about the service.

Cheers

Depends when you arrive. Sometimes the bus moves OK on Suk and sometimes it feels like 1/2 the trip.  If it's during the evening clusterfuck or late afternoon, I would just follow your advice..Earlier in the day traffic isn't as bad..I try to get back mid-day and I play it by ear. If Suk is slow I jump out at On Nut.. I like to buy myself two seats. You can stretch out and keep your shit next to you. Well worth the 250B.
