Thai People Light Candles His Majesty The King’s Birthday

The Lord Mayor of Pattaya city lead every group of Thai people to join together to light candles to bless the King Bhumiphol on the auspicious occasion of his 86th birthday on December 5, 2013.

PATTAYA – December 5, 2013 [PDN]; at 8.30 p.m. at the pavilion of Balihai cape, south Pattaya, Chonburi province, Mr. Itthiphol Khunpluem (the Lord Mayor of Pattaya city) lead groups of Pattaya city Executives and members of Pattaya city council to join together in the ceremony of presenting the bush trays and light candles to bless King Bhumiphol on his 86th birthday on December 5, 2013 there were government officers, military, police, private sectors, business sectors, mass media and every group of people came to join the ceremony.


The Lord Mayor of Pattaya city had presented a bush tray and praised the King then sang the Sansoen Phra Barami song and Sa Du Dee Ma Ha Ra Cha song (the royal anthem of Thailand) then lit candles in unison to bless the King. After that there was 87 fireworks over the bay of south Pattaya bay.


Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Resort, Pattaya, arranged National Father Day presenting a show were an elephant used its trunk to write the words “Caring for Dad most”.

Mr. Kamphol Tansajja (Director of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Resort, Pattaya, Tambon Na Jomtien, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province) assigned Mrs. Phatthanan Khantisukkhaphan (the General Manager) to be the chairman of the commemoration activity in the project of “ December 5 to praise the King on his 86th birthday” or the National Father Day 2013 which more than 10,000 tourists from all over the world came to join in with this activity.


This year, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Resort, Pattaya had organized the activity which was bigger than the past years which there were the glorifying cortege and the parade of 15 intelligent elephants dancing to bless the King. The father elephant presented a garland to the picture of the King, the performance of the elephant calf giving the marigold garland to express love to its father and the highlight of the activity was a female elephant calf named Phang Yok, aged 10, drew the picture of King Bhumiphol and wrote the words “Caring for Dad Most.”

Besides, there was the performance of the female elephant calf named Kor Ya, aged 2, Phang Yingruay, aged 2 and a male elephant calf named Sunday, aged 2, giving the garland to their fathers named Ning Nong, aged 16 in front of the picture of King Bhumiphol in order for the elephant father and its calves expressing their love to each other among the very noisy applause from the audience.


Mrs. Phatthanan said that Nong Nooch Tropical Garden & Resort, Pattaya had made a public relation to invite tourists from all over the world to join in the activity for King Bhumiphol on this auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary, 5th December 2013 and to create awareness to the tourists from all over the world to acknowledge for the talent and intelligence of King Bhumiphol who is the beloved idol of Thai people in order to spread for his great kindness worldwide.
