3 Rottweiler dogs mauled an elderly woman to death as she walked along a road in her village. She fell to the ground and fractured her skull.

ROI-ED – December 2, 2013 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Rerngsak Suwansri (expert investigation officer of Mueang police station, Roi-ed province was informed by Roi-ed hospital that there was a woman who had been bitten by some dogs and fell down fracturing her head on the ground she later died in hospital. Therefore, the police went to perform a post-mortem examination of Mrs. Thongjan Onchaphew, aged 69, address 20 Moo 4, Baan Hua Chang, Tambon Hua Chang, Amphur Suwannaphum, Roi-ed province. She sustained bite marks to her breast and left arm. The doctor indicated that she had suffered fractured skull.

From investigating the police perceived that at 5.00 p.m. on November 30, 2013 while the victim was walking along the road in her village 3 Rottweiler dogs running came out of a house belonging to Mrs. Suban Khamha and mauled the victim until she fell to the ground knocking her unconscious. Bystanders assisted her and sent her to Suwannaphum hospital, before being sent to hospital where she later died.

Upon questioning the local people they told the police that as usual Mrs. Suban Khamha (the dogs owner) keeps 3 Rottweiler dogs without detaining them and they’ve bitten children and adults several times. The local people asked her to detain her dogs in the intrest of safety but Mrs. Suban ignored the request. Initially, the police made note record for evidence then gave the corpse to the relatives to perform religious rites at the dead victim’s hometown. Mrs. Suban Khamha went to visit and expressed her condolence to the family of the dead victim. The victim’s relatives will consult together again after the funeral finished whether they will sue for damages or not.
