Sister going to Bangkok- Hotel Suggestions?

Hi All

 

Well my Sister is off to Bangkok, while I know some options. Want to try and keep her away from Soi 4.

 

So far been thinking either a hotel in Silom or maybe even the Landmark.

 

Just want something decent via the Sky Train/Shopping/Food.

I put my mother and daughter up at Paradiso Boutique suites on Soi 10. Nice Chuwit Garden on the opposite side of the soi. New modern style 1500 baht/night on www.wotif.com with a basic breakfast.

 

Further up Soi 10 is Centrepoint which is very nice and has its own tuk tuk down to Sukhumvit.

 

Soi 10 is next to Asoke BTS and the MRT Asoke underground.

 

Siam@Siam is a good stay for shopping areas.....

Landmark ? I thought you wanted to keep her away from Soi 4. A place I really like is the Adelphi Grande on Soi 41. Nice quiet tree lined soi, big rooms, 200m to Phrom Phong BTS, Emporium, & supermarket, great pool, great gym, good breakfast. Unfortunately the best deal by far is the Grand Sukhumvit at $56 & a lot farther than the Landmark, but maybe still  too close to Soi 4. Away from Soi 4 within reason, not wanting Beachfront NEP

You could put them up at the infamous Nana hotel...but unfortunately it does not have Jacuzzis in the rooms.

If she's after shopping try Pratunam area,Glow hotel is excellent and also Centerpoint Pretchburi 15.

The Narai on Silom is great.  They have a really nice breakfast.  There are plenty of restaurants in the area.  Less than 10 min walk to Chong Nosi BTS (or very quick tuk-tuk ride)   Close enough to Patpong for one trip to the night market but far enough that it's not in your face.  Chang's massage across the street. VERY legitimate and good.

2: Aloft Sukhumvit soi 11 right in the spot of party. go to Levels next to the hotel and find good girls.

 

3: Dream Sukhumvit 15. This is real good one. Taste the new york burger on the roof.

I was at the Centara Grand at CentralWorld for 6 days for a convention and think it would be a great place (although it may be out of your suggested price range)

Thanks all, now She asks Me another question- lands on Thai airways on the late Flight, with a 9AM Flight to Samui in the morning- if it was Me straight to Soi 4

 

For her I am wondering is there any good accom near Airport or better to go into the City?

What's better than roses on your grand piano ------------- two-lips on your organ ! I think Seikos meant Golden Tulip not "Golden on Sukhumvit 20". Great hotel. Too far from Suk for most. It's back there where 16, 20, & 22 combine. That's the only reason it's not 3000B. I like to fuck around on 22, so for me it's not so inconvenient.
