chiropractor or physio with Xray machine?

For as long as I can remember all the time I start weight training I get pain in my lower back which lasts for over a week afterwards, I think I may have a twisted vertbre on my lower back from labouring work when I was a in my late teens. Now Im pushing 30 and really realising that your health and body are the most important things in life so rather than let it go I want to find out what the issue is. I am fairly fit and run and swim everyday, its only when I do weight training when this problem flares up. 

 

Does anyone know a chiropractor with an Xray machine? I dont want to just go to a chiropractor and get some wishy washy explanation that requires me to keep coming back for weekly sessions with no benefit, Im thinking if a chiropractor has an xray machine and actually identifies the problem with tangible evidence it would be a more beneficial experience. Does anyone know someone like this in Pattaya? If not, is there somewhere where I could go and get an xray of my spine by myself to take it to a physio or chiropractor?

You would be better off seeing a doctor and getting referred for xrays, which would be taken properly by a trained radiographer and then a report prepared by a radiologist (a doctor who specialises in interpreting xrays), then back to your doc who will discuss treatment options that may or may not include physio.

Cheers, can you recommend any one stop shop places in Pattaya, where I could see the DR and get the Xray all in the same place on the same day?

Any of the hospitals (Bangkok Pattaya, Pattaya Memorial etc) should have them.

I can recommend a Physio who used to a weight lifter himself. His name is Nigel Kelsey and his number is 0890993845. His visit will cost you 500-600 baht which is fraction for what I paid for a BS service in Melbourne. Kelsey is a great guy and is really good.

 

As for Chiro. There is an old Canadian guy near bus station and he sends everyone to Pattaya International for xray that will cost you 3,000 - 4,000 baht and his fee used to be 750 baht. Although it seemed a rip off to me as he could not solve my problem with shoulder blades in 3-4 visits that Kelsey fixed in 1 visit, but he may be fine with lower back. I can give you this guy's number if you want.

awesome info thanks, does Kelsey have an Xray service? Ill definitely check him out, maybe the best bet is getting an xray solo, then going and getting the opinions from chiro and physio with xray in hand

No. Nigel does not have Xray machine, but I am sure he can advise you on this. Although he is a POM, he is a great guy.....LOL..
