How To Stay Fit in Pattaya

Ok a lot of guys seem to put weight on while in Pattaya. On my last trip to Pattaya I had the most fun I had ever had and I came back leaner with a smaller waist, but with bigger arms and bigger legs. However after being back in Australia for 4-5 months working 45-50 hours a week I put weight back on, while having about tenth the amount of fun I had in Thailand. When I arrived I was 83kg when I got back to Australia I was 81.5kg while that is only 1.5kg difference I had added muscle to my arms, legs, back and chest. So I had lost more than 1.5kg of fat but added  muscle on all parts of my body as well. The tan made me look much better as well.

Main thing that helped was limiting my amount of alcohol. I don't usually drink much when I go out in Australia but I need some to get a bit more confidence to speak to girls since that is not really needed in Thailand as all the girls here need here is a smile. So even though I went out 22 nights in a row the most drinks I had on any one night was about 5 standard drinks. Many nights I didn't have any and I had more fun than a night out in Australia having 8 or so drinks. I never had one hangover in Thailand. Drink at least 2 litres of water a day. Water is cheap from the 7/11's usually 7-10 baht for 600ml and most hotels give you 2 600ml bottles  day free.

Second thing get at least 8 hours of sleep or more. I made sure if I stayed up late I slept in  or even slept by the pool for an hour or two. Back home I usually get less than 8 hours of sleep and these can lead to your body adding more fat.

Third- eat mostly Thai food with green vegies and lean meat. Even Thai dishes that are mostly vegies are still really tasty. Okay I mostly ate just Thai food but I did have Carl's Jnr and Swenson's Ice cream but never on the same day. I had about five small to medium meals a day mostly Thai sometimes Mexican. I ate a lot of ice cream and had my share of burgers but I never had fries or soft drink with the burgers.

Fourth- Workout at a gym or if too expensive in your hotel room at least 5 times a week -because I was not working and getting more sleep I could actually go to the gym more often and recover quicker than back home. The WOW gym that was close to my hotel had shut down so I went to Tony's on Third Road. The gym was really hot with only fans and I felt weak cause I couldn't lift as much as usual. But the really hot gym made me sweat more  and when I got back to Australia I was actually stronger cause I had been lifting in a really humid environment as opposed to my air con'd Aussie gym.

Fifth - Shag at least 2-3 times a day and make it last at least 30 minutes. While in Thailand I usually had 1-2 daytime shags and 1-2 night shags so I was usually doing it 3-4 times every 24 hours usually for 40 minutes or more. Now we know cardio is boring as hell but shagging is most fun way to lose fat as long as you are not just lying there.

Sixth- Walk around- While in Thailand I walked heaps and doing this in the hot weather really made me sweat, I also stopped using the elevator at the hotel and walked up the stairs. I also ran up and down the stairs at my hotel from the ground floor to the 8th. when I watched TV in my room I did sit ups or shadow boxing so I was never just sitting around.

So I ended up having the best 23 days of my life but actually got fit and lean while having fun. My biggest tip is limit the alcohol you don't need it to have fun in Thailand it also stops the body's  ability to break down fat and limits your body's ability to build muscle. So just have a few drinks to get a buzz but you really don't need it.

your average thai meal has no where near enough protein to build muscle IMO - the amount of meat they put in them is very small. About a third of a chicken breast, would be my guess.

Before i was able to cook my own meat, for a few days, I got a friendly street vendor to cook my chicken. I would order chicken/basil/rice and ask them to use my chopped and prepared chicken. I'd hand over a bag with 2 chicken breasts cut up and she would laugh!

now i just buy the rice/noodles and cook the meat myself. Not an issue if you're here for a couple of weeks, but this is a 3 month stint for me.

Whilst in Pattaya I use a mountainbike to go around town, you walk alot looking for girls and taking them back to your hotel room. I love walking the beach at lowtides. I walk the stairs 3 times a day 14 floors up and have some dumbells in my room which I combine with push ups.

Gym everyday now exept when have hangover.I only drink once a week otherwise it interferes with my exercise regime. The more results you see from exercise the less you want to fuck it all up by drinking.one step forward and about 4 steps back each time.Cooking for yourself helps though
