No van service like this, thats called a taxi

My advice is Get the bus to Ekkamai, then bts to silom. Catch the Bus from North Pattaya Road bus station and buses leave every 30 mins

Mini bus service from the small layby on 2nd road next to Tops supermarket.  Frequent service all day long from the office there and it goes to Victory monument right next to the BTS station.   Also another mini bus service from a small office on Pattaya Klang just up the road from Foodland on left side as you go towards the Sukhumvit road.  Both are quite cheap and reliable and now don`t go too fast on the motorway because of the speed camers there.  Silom is easy to get too on the BTS skytrain service when you are in Bangkok.

You have been very lucky,  I have used the vans many times and picked up people in Sriracha, Laem Chabang and chonburi making the journey very long.  Along with multiple drop offs in BKK also.

Udontony has the correct info here.

I caught this bus from BKK to Pattaya only a couple of weeks ago and paid 120 Baht.

Victory Monument to Topps....yes it did stop but only 2-3 between there but it was direct.
