England v Germany

Well another "friendly" against Germany tonight, which is friendly in name only. England will want to put the Friday night debacle against Chile behind them, even though it was very much an experimental Hodgson side. Germany are so confident of winning they have sent two of their senior players home to rest and are playing a largely young side. Also with having several players unavailable through injury, one could argue it's Germany reserves!

Well after all, it's only part of that confounded little island in North Europe with it's euroskeptics, piss weak beer and Polish as the main language...:GoldenSmile1:

So we'll send the kids over instead....

But from my own perspective nothing stirs my footballing emotions or national pride like a game against Germany.

Just don't mention the score...:GoldenSmile1:

If Germany wins tonight at Wembley,  it will be the first time for England for a second successive losses at Wembley for 38 years.

Lacklustre display from England again... Hodsgen must be brave to get rid of long term players and bring in fresh players. Sturidge, Barkley and Townsend should be the  first three in 22 team for Brazil next July.

It's a bit frightening to be honest. This was a German reserve side. Our defence was all at sea and simply couldn't cope with Merta (I won't try to spell his name)

No Scweinsteiger, No Lahm, No Ozil...but still too good for England.

Positives were Townsend (My Man of the match) Lalana, Berkeley...all who have bright futures and I think will get better.

I would only book a short stay in Brazil if you go.

Question is, is Hodgson the right guy?, this is the WC after all, not some relegation dogfight.

Always thought Harry should have got that job .. A Missed opportunity for England.  Hodsgen is a good manager but his CV is not that great.

Nope for me Redknapp is just a name I don't think he could do any better than Hodgson to be honest. I have warmed to him over the last few months because he is not afraid to try new players out. Townsend's pace will frighten anyone, he was unlucky not to score last night.

Hart saved us from a hiding..

Really there is not much more that can be said, apart from the fact we are now in the "second division" of world football. we are simply not good enough.

Next year I will be pleased if we make the second round and delighted if we make the Quarters. To be honest getting out of the group will be an achievement.

After seeing the second team Germany playing England off the park, I reckon they will be the first European ever to win in South America next year,

England is not a seeded team, hence will likely face one to top contenders in the group stage, could quite possibly become the so called 'group of death'.

Hopefully it will be Germany and England in the group with Croatia and  Nigeria...

I never get too hyped up over friendlies,to all intents and purposes they`re training matches, sure, winning even friendlies breeds confidence and good habits, but its Brazil in the summer when it gets serious.Sweden and Ukraine would gladly swap places,we`re there so lets wait and see.
