Few Shots from Last Week (Nov 1-10th, 2013)

Just a few shots from last week.  No real BG's in this album, aside from the one I thought was interesting during the rain. I took those types of pics with my phone.

 

All I have to say is that a polarizing filter is worth its weight in diamonds when in such bright weather. D90, no flash at night with the 35mm at f/2.0 (which also explains why soft and too narrow DoF). Not the best resolution here-- I brought them down to 1000 px wide for this post.

Thanks.  I should edit what I wrote above.  I meant that I took casual BG shots with my cell phone.  I took those shots above with my D90.  I was actually impressed with a few of the pics my TG took with her tablet.  Cell phone and tablet cameras have improved a bunch in recent years. However, they still can't beat a good DSLR when it comes to night photography.  They also tend to get a little aggressive with noise filters and compression.
