Spinning class to lose weight for Pattaya!

I am going to pattaya next June and  I am rather big round the waist, I weigh about 13 stone and my height is about five foot, yes  I am a short arse. However I suffer with a condition called planter fasciitis which means that I cannot do high impact exercise like running or skipping, which is a shame because I wanted to do Thai boxing but the impact on my feet can be agony. Spinning seems to be the way,  Its  low impact and apparently the weight just  drops off in months. if you are not familiar with spinning its were you sit on a stationary bike with others and peddle like hell to the sound of dance music and  the instructor yelling at the top of her voice KEEP PEDDLING!!!! What I want  to know is have any of you guys done this spinning class and if you have did the weight fall off as these instructors keep saying on websites and youtube? Spinning class is excellent for weight loss, it will help speed the process. However 80% of loosing weight is done in the kitchen. You need to get your diet right or u may as we'll not waste your time going to cycle class.

I am in the same boat, going back in June and wanting to lose some weight, hope it works for you and me too.

 

If the spinning class doesn't work for you wengweng try using heavier stones.  I only weigh 1 stone but that stone weighs 235 lbs.  :Think1:

Do it, it will only get harder if you wait and it will affect your health.

As already started, controlling what you eat is the main thing.

Spinning is good cause it uses the big muscles and they burn the most fat.

Get a personal trainer to start with, till you can motivate yourself.

You are  absolutely right about it being harder ! I think a personnel trainer maybe a bit expensive for me, but there is a circuit training class every morning at a health club near me I may try that.  :ThumbUp6:  :ThumbUp6:

Certainly DOES Work !! about 11 calories per minute (500 for avg 45 min class)....Calorie restriction also needed...... :GrinNod1:

Do interval type training on stationary bikes or elliptical at gym

Don't need to spend hours on a cardio machine.

 

Also weight training is a must, particularly for older guys. Stuff like squats, deadlifts, things like that. Great for building muscle and enhancing hormonal profile.
