Yes there is and it can be a bit of an adventure!

 

Whatever you do, don't book a return trip as the return trip booked in Siem Reap costs less than 500baht!

 Get the bus at the station on North Pattaya road and go to the border , then get a taxi to Siem Reap. If you use the minivan option it will be a scary adventure.

There is a travel agent on Soi Buakhao at the junction of soi 15 (Avenue) who have details in their window for trips - around 1300 to 1500 Baht I think - sorry cant recall their name.

 

Bangkok air do it direct from Swampy in an hour and no pain lol

I took a bus from Pattaya to Siem Reap about 1.5 years ago. if I remember correctly, it took about 6 hours or so. If you want the contact info for the bus PM me as it was thru my friend in Pattaya and she's a travel agent there. It was VERY cheap!

There is a flight from the Pattaya airport to SIem Reap that makes a whole lot more sense than 12 hours on a bus.

I took taxi to poi pet border, then taxi to siem reap...  then bus back, which turned into quite an unpleasant and long way to go... cost less than 20 USD, but I would fly both ways next time...

I took the flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap last year. It was around $350 return - 45 minute flight. I know that's a lot more than the bus.but the the bus is  a 12 hour ride if it doesn;t break down. If you want quick and easy the plane is the way to go. If you want and adventure take the the bus.

$350 ? A good price from BKK.  From DMK, Air Asia can be had for 1/2 that at times. Saw it for $161 RT in mid-Jan.

haha shit, the experience cant be that bad? I had a crazy experience in Vietnam from Hannoi to Halong Bay, the driver was missing oncoming trucks by cms, I couldnt fucken relax..  hope for a safe journey, I dont mind how long it takes, I really just enjoy the adventure and scenery, as long as I come out alive im all good.. put a podcast/audiobook/music in the ears have a drink or two in hand, and enjoy!
