A Chiangmai man lured a woman to his house via ‘Facebook,’ raped her, posted videos on ‘Youtube' and ‘Facebook’’ and then continued to threaten her. He has been arrested by police for raping, deceiving, restraining, and uploading pictures that ruin another person’s reputation.

CHIANGMAI – November 12, [PDN]; A Journalist reported that Police Col. Aeration Boontawee, (Director of the Chiangmai City detective department); Police Lt. Col. Manas Thuedee, (detective inspector); plus local police officers; arrested 21-years old Mr. Pon-issara Malai, under the powers of Chiangmai Provincial Court (Warrant number Jor 527/2556, dated 4th Nov. 2013). He was accused of “raping, deceiving, restraining, and uploading pictures or video that ruin another persons’s reputation.” The suspect confessed to all these allegations, so the police arrested him at a house (no number) in Santor, Namprae at Hangdong in the City of Chiangmai, where he had laid low to avoid detection.

Police Col. Weerachon, revealed that the suspect had deceived the victim through ‘Facebook’ so the victim was lured into seeing him at his house, but there he raped her and taped it, then posted the video on ‘Youtube’ and ‘Facebook’. He threatened her all the time, and called her asking for intercourse many times, but when the girl saw the explicit pictures of herself on ‘Facebook,’ she went to notify to the police, so the police arrested him. The suspect pleaded guilty and said that the reason he did this was because of because of jealousy and he wanted to claim the woman as ‘his own,’ so anyone who tried to meet her would think that she had a husband. When Law Courts all over the Kingdom see cases of women being threatened via ‘internet’ in this way, they treat the matter as serious, so no doubt the accused man will receive a severe sentence.
