Couple of thoughts.

Incidents like these don't make Pattaya seem like the complete heaven some make it out to be. Yes Pattaya is safer than many places around the world, and yes, you can 'blame' the victim for drinking by himself late at night on the beach. But things like these shouldn't happen in the first place. I'm certain we'll read more about these crimes targeting foreigners in the future.

Also, nice to see a Thai male citizen involved and assisted the man.

3.30am they came so maybe the incident happened around 2.30-3. What was he doing in the beach road all alone and so late?

Maybe he was an Insomniac? Years of Shift Work Farked up his sleep patterns?

I don't know, but until we have anything that suggests the Guy was at fault, besides being, perhaps, Pissed and Defenceless

Then we'll have to go with the story, as reported. Wouldn't you say?

BTW Who the Fark is Pattaya Daily News?

Do they have Street Cred. or not?

Used to walk home at 5am alone most times in pattaya for three months in 2010.. I will have to cancel that when coming over next time. Too risky.

Would be nice to hear a followup from the victim and later from the police. Do they catch the gang and then what?
