No. Sattahip is dominated by a naval base. You won't find anything of too much interest there. Take a 20 minute drive further down Sukhumvit, and you can visit the ST bars of Ban Chang.

NO agree Bang Chang has mini Soi 6 but thats it not worth the journey

I live there and there is a Sattahip Thread where I have covered this.

 

Great place to LIVE with 6 great beaches including Sai Kaew, the best for miles (see pic) but NOT for mongering.

 

Lots of Thai Bars and Karaokes and even a "strip" of about 20 bars opposite Wat Pa Yup but they are all Thai. Lots of girls in these but they speak little if any Engliush and the P4P is a (very) quick trip upstairs. I have never been up there but given the state of the bars I dread to think what the rooms are like. I see Thai guys going up all the time and back down usually in under 10 minutes.

 

In its favour a lot of the girls are very pretty indeed.

With a naval base there HAD to be a scene ;-)

 

Not sure how the sailors would react to it - but I'm guessing the fee for the very short trips upstairs are very low as well - so would they not be pleased to accept a "farang fee" for going ST or LT to a nicer room ? I know that it would require decent thai language skills (so not for me) but several guys on the board seem to be quite good in thai ?
