Toys R Us do them

'I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day. '

I'm not sure if there is a rule about foreigners owning pistols or not but I'm a dual citizen so if there is some sort of bullshit law then I just gotta whip out my Thai ID card and its all good. Ps thanks Pattaya guru I will go and check out soi 9 beach road today.

Google it. Pretty long and involved process, but can be done if you meet the requirements. I thought about bringing over my presentation rifle (my retirement gift) but for me, far more trouble than its worth.

Sent from my too expensive Samsung tablet.

Take an overnight bag with you

There's a gun shop that sells all kinds of pistols on Sukhunvit, just before you get to Robinsons in Sriracha, same side of the road if you're coming from Patts.

Even for Thai citizen there is a process to go through and that includes getting the approval of the police for them to issue a licence. There are several shops in Bangkok, small arms are much more expensive here, about 4 x the cost in the USA.

You will need to give a compelling reason to be issued a licence, being a Thai national is but the start. Having to carry large amounts of money on a regular basis is a possible, self protection is not, unless of course you are a government official :Evil_Grin2:  naturally having reasonably high ranking friends helps also.

Very rarely do they issue a concealed weapons licence so that is another area you would need to investigate, although the eagle is a bit hefty to be lugging around anyway

I've been to about 15 gunshops in Bangkok and I don't remember seeing a Desert Eagle.   All the gun shops are fairly close together down near Chinatown.....but the name of the Soi escapes me!

Getting a handgun legally is a real pain!

"If it feels good, just keep doing it!"

Thanks for all the information everyone really useful. So I went down there today and talked with then all in all it would cost about 70,000 baht for the handgun + bullets and license. I told them it was for self defense and protection because my mother was murdered last year by a Thai mafia member for borrowing money and not paying it all back in time. (True story) . Buy this didn't happen in Pattaya it happened in Kalasin but as I have a house in kalasin i go to visit there at least once a month to see my other family members.

They told you that in soi 9?

Who will guarantee it for you? ie Policeman or Government worker?

I was quoted about 60000-70000bht for a 9mm all legal,  (I didn't even ask for one btw as I don't want one, I was talking with lawyer and a policeman, they were talking about it as my manager had just got one.)

As Kamluan says I don't think a Desert Eagle .50 or anything that big would be do-able.

About 3 years ago at Burapa on of the police chiefs on their Harley's had a nickel plated one.

What do you want a gun for, is it a substitute for a small penis?

Is that you Walrus??? Or another Walrus clone.

There's only one way to find out and I'll give you a hint. Do you remember this...

Breaking eggs in Soi 6?

I await your answer...
