Going to the Pattaya Discovery Beach hotel

Anyone ever been?

Or have an info on the place?

I know its a new build since last year so cant get very much info on it

It looks very over priced to me;

It does not state if they have Jacuzzi baths; Id expect one at that price;

Look at Tims Boutique hotel or LK Royal suite on soi bukhao;

We stayed there in May 2008 Joiner fee - 1000bht

 

The hotel is listed as 4 * but in my opinion, it is no better than a 2 * Very rude ignorant staff.

 

I would definately NOT recommend this hotel

I’ve dug up an old thread rather than invent a new one 

Thinking of bringing the wife to Pattaya family friendly town and want to stay on the beach and north of the beach road improvements.   
 

This hotel looks like it’s been refreshed 

Seems reasonably priced. 
Has good recent reviews 
 

My concern is that it might be noisy due to proximity to the 6 

I welcome any thoughts from those with recent first hand experience.

Yes, it's family friendly as they charge joiner fees.  They have many quiet rooms.

Beach Road is just as noisy as Soi 6, and music generally stops there at 2pm.

I stayed in the Old beach road section but I know think it is now extended all the way back to 2nd road with another swimming pool. 

I used to like the bar on beach road on the other side of the pool, because it is raised up 5ft or so, it used to feel kind of exclusive. Rooms in the beach road section were all good size and i think the upgraded rooms (executive?) were facing away from Soi 6.

There were joiner fees when we stayed, but it was possible to avoid reception by entering the property from the pool/bar  entrance and using the lift from the pool level, I don't know if this can still be done. 

But I liked it there

Not sure if they change the joiner fee recently? But I was told via email :

 

"If a client books a single room and stays alone, or if they book a room for two people but only one person actually stays, we allow them to bring a visitor to stay in the room without any additional fee. Please note that this allowance is limited to one visitor per day."  

 

Seem you are able to have 1 joiner per day. Can anyone confirm?
