AA hotel soi 13 Very dubious review

Dear Members

ive been generally looking lately at various hotel reviews both on here and other forums etc.

On Tripadvisor a guy has posted a review (albeit from February 2007) said that he had his safe key

stolen, he then had to pay 3000 baht for a replacement. A friend of his who was with him (and spoke thai) overheard the staff saying to themselves 'this was a regular little earner for them'!!

Now i cant deny this is you might say 'hearsay' but i feel its worth considering if planning to book at this hotel. (also he ought to have taken his key safe with him)

if there is someone who is connected to the hotel on the forum they may wish to comment?

Cheers Beet

I am at AA Residence now. All new, rooms and staff are great. They do charge 2500 baht for a lost safety box key. Kind of a specially made think, not a normal stamped key. No big deal. I keep it in my room. No other problems at all.

It's not the AA-Residence, I remembered reading the review a few days ago and it's supposed to be the "AA (Pattaya) Hotel"on soi 13, WS.We'll probably never know if this review's really true...could be false but why would anyone........right, doesn't matter....just watch your keys, always.

People shouldn't steal or touch your stuff, I agree...but as we all know some people will cheat, you better off keeping your safe-key as well as your room key in your front-pocket at all times..

BTW: I guess housekeepers/cleaners know of every hiding-place in the rooms we're staying at.. :GoldenSmile1:

I have a friend who has stayed there since it opened and has never had a problem. I know the two women who work the desk(Noi and Took) and they are great ladies, I would be surprised if they did anything like that. I would be more concerned about the filth, bugs and mold than anyone stealing my keys though.
