Buy your electronics bits and pieces in Australia. You will get them significantly cheaper on eBay than in Thailand. Every time I go back to Australia I stock up on stuff like this for that reason. Electronics in Thailand are the same price or more as in Australia. Added advantage of buying in Australia is that you know what you are buying.

I notice in your avatar that you are from Sydney. 

The best place to buy it is on George St in the city.

In the building for Capital Square upstairs is a tech place. 

As you reach the top of the stairs go into the first shop on the right.

I find they have the best price for SD and mirco SD cards.

Dont buy off Ebay as most are fakes these days thats why so cheap. Hunt around JB hifi , Big W always someone have them on sale. Will cost a bit more but u know what you are getting.

Find a good buyer with many good reviews and you will have no problems on Ebay.

This is not true as long as you are careful. Most of the cheaper stuff will come from overseas. Select a seller that has good feed back and lots of sales. The guys selling fake stuff get kicked off very quickly.

Bought a Kingston Micro SD 32 gig today from Big c (previously Carefour) for 815 Baht then seen the same one in Tuk Com for 790 Baht.. (includes adaptor)

not sure actually, he owes me a bunch of favours so he just got his missus to arrange to have them sent directly to me

they're actually in the UK ATM and she just happened to be on the phone to one of their suppliers when we were on skype

 

i'll find out what they cost him when i get a chance

i sent him the link for the $18.99 aud ones on ebay and he said they would be buying them 1000 at a time to be able to do those prices

A couple things... buying from Banana IT or Hardware Zone in Tukcom will have pretty decent deals and offer limited in house warranty assuming the thing dies in a few days which can happen.

 

Moving on.. Make sure you get a class 10 model which is currently the fastest spec.. one other question why not go for the 64GB model?  its not that much more expensive.
