Still Thailand has weathered the global down turn pretty well, just looking at the relative strength of the Baht tells of a decent economy.

how the baht has got stronger baffles me seeing as the gov has lost it's rice industry,suffered riots,floods etc,they lost their pc memory business' to China,it doesnt add up,the baht has got to come tumbling soon,something stinks of unfair play

I agree that it seems strange that the Baht has stayed fairly strong (comparatively) throughout all the financial turmoil of late.

Government debt is twice as high as it was in 97 and household debt is 3 times higher than 97

 

Im sure hope it can't be sustained much longer
