2 Men Arrested After Stealing Pork At A Fresh Market In Pattaya

Locals at a fresh market caught and chased after two men who had stolen raw pork from a merchant at the market.

PATTAYA – July 17,2013 [PDN]; In the late night of July 16, Pattaya City Police officers were informed by locals from the Rom Pho fresh market that they had caught two men stealing pork from a merchant at the market. Police immediately rushed to arrest the suspects.

The two arrested suspects were aged 20 and 32, the owner of the pork-shop. He said that as he was wrapping up his shop to go home, two men forcefully opened a cabinet were all the pork was stored and stole a few kilos of pork. The men admitted that they were jobless and that they didn’t not have money to buy food.

As for the 24 year-old butcher or the owner of the pork-shop, he told the police that he had been robbed once before and he said that he was determined not to let anymore robbers slip his hand.

The two suspects are now detained at the Pattaya City Police station where they’ll be charged for theft.
