Fisherman Beaten Up By Locals After Stealing Motorcycle In Sattahip

A fisherman from Sattahip was beaten up by locals after he had stolen a motorcycle that parked at the port office. He reportedly stole a motorcycle in order to buy alcohol, when locals saw the fisherman they ordered him to return the motorbike, but he refused, causing the locals to beat him up.

SATTAHIP – July 16,2013 [PDN]; Police officers of Sattahip Police station were informed by locals that a motorbike thief was caught near the Hong Yen Port. When police arrived the scene, police saw a group of locals holding the suspect. It was reported that the suspect was in a beaten up state after he was ferociously beaten up by the locals.

The suspect was identified as a 40 year-old local fisherman who happened to see that an office-woman’s motorbike was parked with the key inside the ignition. When he saw the office-woman walking back to her office, he ran to her motorbike and escaped. But as he escaped, locals that saw his act followed him and were able to catch, which lead to the arrest.

He is now in police custody at the Sattahip police station where he will be charged for thievery.
