A father in Lopburi province kidnapped his own 5 year-old son, he then requested a ransom of 1.5 Million THB rom his former father-in-law.

Lopburi – July 12, 2013 [PDN]; Police officers at Kogsalung Police station received a phone call from Kogsalung Kindegarten that 3 suspects used a pick-up to kidnap one of their 5 year-old student, one of the suspect who was man told one of the teachers at the kindergarten that he was the father of the 5 year-old. But the teachers didn’t fully believe the suspect, which lead to the phone call to the police.

Police officers around the area were informed over the radio that they should look out for the car that was described by the teacher from Kogsalung Kindergarten.

Not long after the report was filed, Police Lt. Colonel Suppayot Tarithai, Vice Commandant of Lopburi Police was informed that a boy was found crying alone at the Morakot Resort. When police arrived at the resort, police found the 5 year-old boy that was dropped off at the resort.

Police initially believed that the suspects dropped the child after they were pressured by the police, as they were being looked out by the whole province. The 32 year-old mother of the boy the told the police that the kidnapper was believed to be her ex-husband and father of the boy, as after the boy was kidnapped her father or the grandfather of the boy received a phone from his son-in-law saying that he requests a 1.5 Million THB for the boy.

Police are now working hard to track down the suspects, they’re believed to still be within the province.
