Anybody know if these hotels allow multiple guests, preferably without a joiner fee?

LK empress right on beach road and a solid 4.5 star for pattaya. Obviously would not be a 4/5 star in a major city but checks all the boxes at a reasonable rate with a great location.

For some reason I was under the impression that the marriot was not girl friendly. Am I misinformed and If so is the girl friendly policy solid or depends on who is working when you walk through the doors each night?

The Marriott is girl friendly. Where your confusion probably arises is that there are a few threads where people have reported "asking" the hotel and have had their standard email response. As I said in an earlier post this is a "company policy" reply but the reality is that it is girl friendly.

Dusit D2 allows more than one girl. If you really want "multiple" then try either The Vault or a "serviced apartment" style place such as View Talay 6 or @Mind.

From my very own experience I can tell you, that I had no problems at all bringing back 2 girls at night to dusit d2. Polite greeting, smiling, whishing us a good night from the staff

Please keep in mind that everything I write is based on my own experiences, my personal preferences and my expectations. YMMV!

There's nothing wrong about being cheap ... but being cheap isn't being smart ... never was, never will be ... it's just cheap

Don't know how long it will be available, but I have just booked 15 nights in the Marriott, Prem deluxe Garden view room 2 people for £647 per room, £43 per night. Breakfast not included but can be added at £12 per night.

Agoda, strangely enough has their cheapest price for this room to include half board, at £106. Without the dinner, the price rises to £118ish per night.

The deal is with the hotel only booking section of the Virgin Holidays website(UK)and I have a feeling the rooms are up to October 31st.

I have booked the whole package through this site, flights also and it has worked out at £813 for the premium economy return with EVA, about £90 cheaper than I could get elsewhere and airport hotel transfers thrown in.

Looked for the catch, but now all paid and confirmed with a booking reference issued. Happy Days.

Hope this helps any of you out there looking to book.

I have stayed at the Marriott many times and have never had a joiner fee. Just to be sure make your reservation for one of the "Garden View" and always enter the hotel from the beach road side of the hotel. You will never have to go past the lobby to get to your room. Or enter from the Beach road side and when half way to the lobby go up the stairs to the second floor to get to the elevators one floor above the lobby without going past the front desk.

Thanks a bunch for this.  I have stayed at the Marriott several times.  Usually a security guard hanging around the front and/or the elevator, which might put some off from bringing back a new friend.  I never explored the area enough to know about access from Beach Road side.  I will have to take a better look next time.

Just spent 15nights in the Marriott, 100% girl friendly, Security guard/late night lift operator will take ID cards if using front lobby lifts. There is another two lifts behind Dicey Oreillys that I never saw manned and the security at the beach road entrance never bothered us at all. Become a Marriott rewards member and you get free wifi also.

Great hotel right in the centre of things.

This seemed like a relevant enough thread to revive instead of starting a new one ...

Does anyone know if there are any new modernish hotels in pattaya and the last few years. I usually stay at Page 10 but the last couple of times it's been pretty bad. The rooms smell of damp. I asked to be moved twice last time, but still no joy.

I'd be mainly looking for a clean (and clean smelling) room somewhere near the action, but not in the middle of it. It'll have to be multi-girl (and LB) friendly with no extra joining fee though.Any nice new finds anyone?

Neither is "new," but -- based on the topic of the thread (i.e., "Fanciest"), I would now suggest the Hilton.  While you will see posts on PA about it not being GF, I have stayed there multiple times, and have had 2 girls back multiple times, and NEVER been charged a joinder fee there.

Location (right next to Central Festival) is pretty damn nice, too.

While advocating the Marriott earlier in this thread, I referenced the Sheraton, which is now the InterContinental.  Beautiful property; I was never charged a joinder fee while it was the Sheraton, and can only assume (hope?) that it remains the same now.  It is VERY isolated, though.

I have NOT stayed there or read reports of it, but you might want to look into Sea Me Tree, which I think recently opened on Soi 10, right by Beach Road.

Thanks. I think Hilton will probly be my first choice so far.

One hotel of note, STAY AWAY FROM THE HARD ROCK HOTEL. They have a huge joiner fee. One time before my wife came to the US I went over to work in Sattahip and made double occupancy reservation at the Hard Rock. My wife didn't show up until a couple of days after I arrived and they charged me a joiner fee of 1900 baht ABOVE the double occupancy fee because she was Thai. I talked to management and they admitted that I was paying the double occupancy fee and we showed them everything to prove that we were married including her Thai ID Card that had my last name on it. They even admitted that we were married but still insisted on an additional 1900 Thb. I told them that I was leaving to go to another hotel and they didn't care so we went down the road to the Marriott where I am always welcomed.

Besides, the Hard rock has extremely small rooms for the price that they charge. I wouldn't recommend them even if I hadn't had this problem with them.

Interesting, I stayed there last year, I like the chain in general and when I was booking in it was explained what to do if I brought a friend back with me.

Lo and behold, I came back with a girl and submitted her ID and went with her to pick it up the next day, and they had a few cards there too.
