Teenagers Arrested After Attempting To Steal Motorcycles in Pattaya

PATTAYA – July 4, 2013 [PDN]; At 00.30 AM, Police Captain Somchai Chaikananukul, Vice Suppression Inspector at Pattaya City police station, was informed by civil volunteers of Pattaya and Tappraya that they caught 3 male teenagers who tried to steal parked motorcycles near the Esso gas station in South Pattaya. After receiving the report, police rushed out to the scene.

When police arrived at the scene, police met civil volunteers who caught the 3 teenagers attempting to steal the motorcycles. The boys were reportedly 13, 15 and 16 years old, the boys were caught using a screw driver to break open and start motorcycles, but fortunately, civil volunteer officers were able to catch them.

After questioning the teenagers, they said that their motorcycles they came with ran out of fuel and that they didn’t have any money to re-fill at a gas station, which made them decide to steal fuel or gas from motorcycles that were parked. Police didn’t believe the boys and took them to the Pattaya City police station were their guardians will be contacted, police will also charge them for attempted thievery.
