Cigar smokers

One of my buddies ask me if I would bring him back some Thai cigars. I do not smoke cigars myself and have no idea where to get them. I don't remember ever walking past a cigar shop or seeing vendors with any, or in the mall. Anyone let me know where to find some Thai cigars please.

didn't even know they had them. There are a few places with very expensive Cuban cigars. They used to sell the Philippine cigars around town, but not sure if they still do. The guy importing them passed away a couple of years ago.

There is a relatively new cigar shop on the corner of Pattaya Tai and Second Road - opposite the school and where the buses wait to go to Jomtien.

There's one on the west side of 2nd Road just north of the Marriott. Kind of sticks out into the sidewalk. Easy to find.

Whilst cigarettes in LoS are still cheap compared to the UK, cigars in Thailand are EXPENSIVE (the Thai word is 'paeng'). This refers to imported brands. Locally made cigars, which are quite slim and made up into bundles of 20 each, can be had for a pittance but these are very much an acquired taste - experienced cigar smokers find them unpalatable. These things are 'shit sticks' in every sense which will make your throat burn.

You best bet may be to buy whatever brand your friend prefers at Duty Free shops at your airport of departure, or at Swampy on your return journey.

That cigar store on second road has the same cigars that you buy in a U.S. cigar store, only at twice the price! 16 months in Thailand, and I am a cigar smoker, I don't believe that I have ever seen a Thai made cigar.
