Google just released their new flight search

www.google.com/flights

Choose dates and a budget and google shows you where you can fly for what price on a map. Once you pick a destination, it can show you the lowest fares for 15 days before and after your chosen date (bargraph symbol at the top right hand corner).

this sounds like a great addition to the google world!

I will try and see if they can beat the others on a regular basis.

EDIT-

Kayak is still cheaper than all quoted prices on there, only by 3 pounds on the BA flight(NEVER fly with them though) and 100 pounds more on the Thai-air flight.

Sod giving Google any more info about us than they already log and do God knows what with.

....But in the interests of comparison, just checked for some identical dates for Sep - Dec and compared against budgetair.co.uk (which is usually cheapest) and for biz class direct

Google

EVA - £4197

THAI - £2740

BA - £2549

Buegetair

EVA - £2030

THAI - £2258

BA - £2504

Kayak

EVA - £1966

THAI - £2255

BA - £2506

Your mileage may vary but that's some pretty big delta's between the best two and Google.

Looked up the flight I already booked for £590 (EVA LHR-BKK, 31 Aug), google are showing it for £1047. Dont think I'll be bookmarking this site any time soon!

Next trip Aug 31-Sep13, theme: try more freelancers, get dirty! Note to self: TAKE MORE PHOTOS!!!

Been playing a bit more, the graph thing is good but booking options and actual sites/agents searched seem very limited. Maybe they will add more in future and be able to show cheaper prices.

"Sure do take a bite, now don't she." I thought their motto was "Don't be evil !"

Hi. Not sure what is new in www.google.com/flights/ ?
Seems to be the same site than when they launched it in Europe in March, no ?

BTW, still not useful for expats: "Sorry, flights from Thailand are not currently supported."

Lame so far.  Skyscanner, momondo. even zuji and others are better.

Try using Hipmunk.  Works well for finding flights, comparing prices, showing flight duration.

Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned."

I am using http://www.momondo.com which is searching all flights from any airport to any destination and with or without any stops. i think it woks fine and ypu can have it in allmost any language you want.

It also allow you to select or deselect which airlines you want to see, how many stops you can accept and rhe max of hours you can accept for the trip.

Everyone has the right to my opinion

Unfortunately Australia is not supported yet on google flights.

It's a great idea that they added it but as others have mentioned I think Skyscanner is still the best option.

wego is not bad...use it and then check with the airlines direct. I hate the way a low-fare gets taxes and shit added and then is cheap no more

This version of me will not stay the same, tomorrow I will be different.

This is much like the google shopping section , you seem to pay google a percentage or something for their version of simplicity. I was able to beat every flight price google gave me by checking around at other places , Thank you anyway for posting .
