It seems like only yesterday that I was struggling under the weight of my bass guitar and a dirty great Hitachi pre-Ghetto Blaster, weaving along Mathew Street into Temple Court in Liverpool, then up the stairs into the disused warehouse above Jayne Casey's shop.

We (meaning Pink Military) had recently moved all our gear there from Eric's club, which is where we had been rehearsing since the spring.
