I am looking at spending a week or two doing a cleanse and raw food thing at a spa in Thailand, the one I have found that I like is http://www.thespakohchang.com/

 

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this place, or has any others they would recommend looking at.

 

I have been to Koh Chang and liked it (white sand beach last trip for 5 days with massage girl), the prices seem to be better than similar programs offered in Samui/Phuket/Chang Mai...

 

I want to reprogram myself, I eat way too much crap and need to lose 100 pounds...  Spending 10+ days focusing on this seems to me to be a good way to get started in the right direction...  And the cost with airfare is still cheaper than similar offerings in the USA... So, no brainer to me.  I might even hire my massage girl to come along with me...

If you are serious about loosing weight then there are much better and cheaper options than Thailand. You should go to India. They have all those ayurveda techniques.

I know a person weighing 250lbs 5.7" going there for a month and reduced about 35-40lbs. He came back, sticked to the practice he learnt from there and slowly reached his target weight. If you want details I can ask him.

There are some health spa places right by the beach in Hua Hin, but they are not cheap - we are talking something like 5,000 baht per day minimum for the accommodation and range of services that they offer.

A place called Chiva Som seems to get good reviews.

Getting to Hua Hin from Swampy (Airport) should set you back around 2,000B for the taxi ride.

thanks hedgecock, the one I have focused in on, on koh chang, is much more reasonable....
