Motorbike Taxi Driver Wanted After Robbing Local People In Pattaya

A motorbike taxi driver decided to rob or steal from people after he didn’t have enough money to support himself and his family. Police have yet to find the man.

June 29, 2013; At 02.00 AM, Police Colonel Suppachai Puikaewkam, Director of Banglamung police station was informed by a group of local people that a thief stole woman’s handbag at Naklua Rd. Soi 19. After receiving the report, police rushed out to the scene.

Upon arriving at the scene, police were approached by a local who explained the incident to the police, he was identified as 28 year-old Mr. Sutatep Maneerat, a motorbike taxi driver. Police were able to find a bag that contained a mobile phone and other documents. Ms. Jaruwan whose bag was stolen confirmed that Mr. Sutatep did steal her bag.

Mr. Jaruwan said that she was waiting for her friend, she noticed that a man wearing a motorbike taxi vest was following her. She thought that the man was trying to offer customers a ride, but as approached nearer, he grabbed her handbag and escaped.

At that moment, Mr. Jaruwan didn’t know what to do as she shocked, which made her eventually scream loudly. But a group of other motorbike taxi drivers who were stationed near by the scene, chased Mr. Sutatep down, but he dropped the handbag and escaped. Mr. Jaruwan said that cash money of over 2,000 THB was missing from the handbag.

Police are now trying track-down and arrest Mr. Sutatep for stealing others possessions.
