Bought an E-Cig today and have to say i'm pretty impressed with it so far.

Any of you successfully packed the cigs in using one?

I have never smoked, well, not cigs, but I have heard of alot of people that have tried every way possible to quit, and finally did, with these E cigs.  Good luck to you.

I wish more people would use these in gogos.

I have been using an e-cig in the UK for about  year. Expensive but works well.

On my last trip i forgot the top bit.

Brought one from a street trader cheap, 2 for the price of one.

All i will say is bin the juice as this is shit.

The rest of it i am still using now some 5 months later.

Juice is the important part UK/USA juice is proper stuff.....Thai cheap juice will give you mouth ulcers etc

I used one very recently as I am attempting for the 35426 time to quit smoking.  The taste and quantity of the vapor was very satisfying and for a couple of days I enjoyed the use if the ecig.  However, I noticed that after the two days in my lungs were becoming congested--I discontinued use and all went back to normal (using nicotine gum now on day 12).  There is a gent who sells ecigs in pattaya and a friend told me they are of decent quality--Just of Suhkumvit across from  Big C and Pattaya Tai on the darkside.  Here is his link:  duracig-pattaya.com/

I've got one but using as it in unison with real ones at the moment with the hope of quiting. I have reduced the number of smokes I actually smoke and do notice when I use the e-cig more my lung capacity is a bit better. On a side note: anyone know what the RULES are like on taking ejuice into Thailand?

Not quite sure how inhaling an addictive drug helps stop smoking an addictive drug......

But wish e-cig users  the best of luck.

It's probably safer than smoking cigarettes, but much better to be free of nicotine addiction.

I eventually managed to quit using the Allen Carr book, 10 years drug free now, best thing I ever did.

I quit using ecigs. I keep inhaling by ecigs and I can breath now! Anyway doctors around the world carried research about them and they have confirmed that they are much better to use than regular cigarettes.

what is an e cig?

what is an e cig?

I think it involves setting fire to a laptop while its on Hotmail page and inhaling the smoke......or something like that :Lost1: .

I've just quit cold turkey after 1o years of smoking no nicotine patches, no chewing gum. no E Cig! you just need will power and the strong desire to quit! I hope you can quit because this shit is killing us!

with ecig you do not need strong desire and will power, maybe just a bit and it is healthier and still give pleasure, the choice is yours!

Not to be a killjoy, as I use one myself, but e-cigs are illegal (currently) in Thailand. As with so many things here the law is rarely enforced but better to be aware. Biggest likely problem, albeit still VERY small, is giving a customs official the chance to make a bit of tea money.

There is legislation currently being discussed to legalise them.

I've been using this just over 2 weeks now. First week used it and smoked about 5 cigs a day as well. Since then just been using the e-cig with no great desire for a real cig.

Well pleased with it. I smoked 20-30 a day for well over 20years and have genuinely found it easy not to smoke using this. I would reccommend it for anybody thinking of trying to pack them in.

Flew from Bangkok to Koh Samui by Air Asia last february and that was the 1st time that I heard an E cig being banned like real ones on a flight. Flew Easy Jet in May and they also banned E Cigs. Anyone know Why. I have tried them and they seem Ok. I'm now  a non smoker , Cold Turkey and the doctor saying the grim reaper was stood behind me sharpening his scythe.  Works wonders

Over 5 weeks now without even a single drag of a cig now, :GoldenSmile1:

I'm telling any smokers out there, get yourself one of these! I've went from 20/30 a day for 20-odd years to none and it's been easy.

Honestly do it.

Best thing i've ever bought. I was never one of these smokers who said they hated smoking and always saying i was going to give up. I loved the taste of cigs and really enjoyed smoking but my workmate kept pestering me to try these as he was on it. I was basically walking past a shop that sold them and went in and bought one.

I paid a naturopath 500 bucks to take me through a 2 week aversion therapy process which has been the most effective method I have done...  59, been smoking most of my life, have used nicorette to quit many times, but once I stopped nicorette I would eventually pick up a cig again...

nicorette is just as addictive as the cigs, I would guess the ecigs are like that as well, but better than smoking of course.

I have not smoked or chewed since before my last trip to Thailand which was in April, so I am delighted... I find the smell of smoke a total turn off now, and have no desire... I am truly drug free for the first time in years and years and years...

Probably because there are no regulations on what goes in them or how they operate. So everyone on the plane gets exposed to what you are inhaling and if you drop one (eg because you fall asleep) or it malfunctions there is the potential to start a fire since the liquid inside is likely flammable. Neither is a good on a plane.

Yeah there is no doubt the e-cigs are addictive as well but healthwise and cost make them SO much better than the real thing. Also the e-juice comes in different nicotine strengths so you can reduce over a period of time. I started on 24mg strength, now down to 18mg. They actually go all the way down to zero nicotine, so you can end up just vaping flavour.

@daddee - Good for you mate, never tried the nicorette patches but tried the inhaler once, lasted 2 days lol. I actually don't mind the smell of smoke or crave it at all which is a big surprise to me.

The biggest change in my life is now i drink coffee in the living room and not standing at the back door!

I packed in using them, bearing in mind I had no intention of stopping when I tried them, I just happened to like them.

Virtually switched to e cigs completely in the first week, used them for 3 months (this included a trip to Patts) switching to low strength caramel flavour after about 3 weeks, then one morning  my battery was flat and I never bothered with it again.

It was really easy to stop the E cig, been off nicotine now for 18 month with no cravings or desire to smoke.

They are definitely worth a try, even if you are not really bothered about stopping.
