A Man Mysteriously Found Dead At A Shrine

A nameless man who stole some UHT milk which was an offering to the sacred shrine at Samaesarn port was found dead. The man died mysteriously with his eyes open. People believe that it was the power of the sacred holy shrine that took away his life.

SATTAHIP – June 28, 2013 [PDN]; at 6.30 a.m. by Pol. Capt. Narate Boonthee, investigation officer of Sattahip police station. He was notified that there was a corpse without any identification. The body was found at the shrine entrance of port bridge Khanasrinuwat, Moo 2 Tambon Chong Samaesarn, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province so he rushed to inspect the scene with the rescue officers of Sawangrojjanatharmmasatharn Sattahip foundation.

At the incident shrine, The officers found the corpse of the man and thought he was approximately 35years old. They didn’t know his nationality but had tan skin color, short hair, with a beard .He dressed like he had worked on a fishing boat. He wore clothes similar to what a boat crew would wear. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt, crossing pattern, brown color with black shorts. He was found lied face down with his eyes open. Rigor mortis had set in and he had urinated all over the ground. After inspecting the corpse, they didn’t find any wound or any trace of foul play.

There was no evidence indicated who he was and how he had died approximately 2 hours before. The officers found 2 boxes of UHT milk beside the corpse. Which are the same brand as the offering at the shrine that the fishermen brought to pay respect to the shrine. The officers assumed that the man had stole 2 boxes of UHT milk from the shrine.

Pol. Capt. Narate Boonthee, the officer dealing with this of case, said that from inspecting the corpse he still could not indicate who he was but assumed that he was one of the fishing boat crew. He said that they slept in the area of the shrine before he had died. However, he sent the corpse to Sattahip hospital 10 km away so that a autopsy may be performed. This will find the exact cause of death and the police officers will be able to contact his relatives to pick up the corpse to perform religious rites.

The reporter reported that the finding of the corpse in front of the shrine which is the shrine that the fishermen of Tambon Samaesarn pay respect and pray too before driving their boats off to go fishing. This ritual protects and keeps them safe from the monsoon. People said that they believed that it was because of the sacredness and sufficient strength of the shrine that had killed this man. Because he had stolen the UHT milk that was an offering to the shrine. The man’s life had been taken by the sacred guardian spirit because the man died with his eyes open, tense body and urinated through his shorts as if he was so shocked before he died.
