its seems that if you only have insurance in your country but dont have travel insurance, you can buy the travel insurance at the immigration counter? what is this a direct selling?

So far it's just government departments discussing the idea. It may happen, it may not. But if I know one thing about Thailand it's that it is unlikely to happen that soon.

it's one of those obvious things that keep popping up here in Thailand : some government types sitting around asking "how can we squeeze more money out of tourists?" and one of them goes, "what if we hit anybody without travel insurance and force them to buy it from US?". They high five each other, but then realize how much work it is and say "never mind". Seen many many schemes like this where they mention it to the papers but it never happens.
