A teacher that taught disabled children was beaten up by a group of men that claimed to be voluntary police officers. They kicked, punched and even used a wood block to beat him up.

NONTHABURI – June 25,2013 [PDN]; Reporters were received a complaint from Mr. Siwapol Nopthip, age 30, a teacher that was teaching disabled children, who was beaten up by a group of men that claimed to be voluntary police officers. He said that their reason for beating him up was because Mr. Siwapol accidentally pushed down a public litter bin. The incident reportedly happened at 07.30 PM on June 24, 2013 in Nonthaburi province. It was reported that he had bruises and wounds all over his body.

Mr. Siwapol revealed that before he was beaten up, he was on his way home on his motorbike. But as his gas or fuel ran out, he had to walk. But as he was walking he accidentally bumped into a district litter bin, but he did not pull it up. As he continued to walk to his house, he saw a group of men standing in front of his house. The group of men were not happy that he dropped to litter bin, one of the men then punched Mr. Siwapol.

Mr. Siwapol said that after he was beaten up, his brother took him to Pakret police station to file a report to Police Sub-Lt. Piyorot Chookul, Investigation Officer of Pakret police station. After that, he was taken to a local hospital to receive treatment. Police are now trying to track-down and arrest the men that had assaulted or beaten Mr. Siwapol

another demonstration of where people power goes to far.

I have to smile every time I read the term ''fake police''. They are all fake police in Thailand, whether officially sanctioned or not.

What it should read is ''fake fake police''.

Man they were friends to the earth I bet he will think twice about littering if even by accident

I guess we all aware of the maxim: do not upset young Thai men.  Very sad, but all too common.
