Foreigner Arrested After Smuggling Heroin

Investigation police officers from Pai district from Mae Hong Sorn province were able to arrest a Danish man who smuggled heroin and marijuana or cannabis.

MAEHONGSORN – June 23, 2013 [PDN]; At 11.30 PM, Police Lt. General Tanu Inprom of Pai polices station together with over 20 tourist and investigation police officers went to arrest 63 year-old Sunny Rasmussen, a Danish national who was suspected of smuggling drugs. He was arrested along with heroin and cannabis that he possessed, police presume that the drugs were worth over 200,000 THB.

Police officers that were stationed at a checkpoint in Mt. Mae Ya were informed by spies and undercover police officers that a foreigner was going to smuggle drugs out of Pai district. They were told to look out for a passenger bus that belonged to Prem Pracha transportation, it was believed that the Danish man was on the described passenger bus. After the passenger bus arrived at the checkpoint, police officers ordered the bus to inspect the bus. The Danish was indeed found within the bus. He was then taken to Pai police station where he was inspected and interrogated.

Mr. Sunny confessed that he did smuggle heroin and cannabis, but he claimed that he received the drugs from a woman who was from the Lahu tribe. He was initially charged for smuggling and possessing illegal drugs. Police will now try to track-down the woman who was reported to be distributing the drugs.

But if he smuggles 200k worth of shit he prob cant afford to pay.

 

 

 

Also this is so small scale smuggling compared to the USA and thier heroin production in Afganistan, so they should just let this old danish guy go free, give him some cake and a hooker.

 

And, in a near future all these drugs will become legal anyway (already are in many places). Everyone knows the war on drug was a complete failure from the start to the end. Give him back his freeeeeedom!!!
