Nova Park Apartments - Anyone stayed there

Just about to book for October, was wondering if anyone had stayed there as I looked on Google street view and the streets around it look narrow and winding? I was wondering if they are lit and well frequented. I know all about being wary of anywhere and keeping my wits about me etc..just wondered if anyone had any first hand impressions of the immediate area and the walk to Pattaya Klang/3rd Rd etc?

Cheers for any input!

Most of these appartments need revonation and are a long way from the action .

You will need a bike as there aren't many taxis going that way .

I ended up with a private 150Bht song taew every night .

Better places to be find , nice swimming pool though .

It's well lit and some restaurants close by so that's not the problem .

I stayed there for a month five years ago. No problem with the location for me. Just a 400 m walk to Second Road to catch a baht bus or cross the road and you're just about on Soi 6. For me that's a short walk, maybe others think that's kind of far.

Rooms were showing some wear and tear back then. Not sure how they are now. If I wanted to stay in that area again, I'd probably stay at @Mind.

Thanks for the input Gents, fully appreciate especially regarding the area...cheers!

Walking in Patts is not an issue for me, stayed Sabai on 2nd a few years ago and enjoyed the walk to Walking St. occasionally stopping for a beer or jumping on a baht bus or in/out of the shopping areas. To me the walk was a case of discovery rather than head down to get somewhere.

I am never going to get on the back of a moto taxi so at night and accompanied I will stick to the rented baht bus. Only in town for two weeks or so rooms not really an issue but a pool is a must and finace dictates a £30 1500 baht room rate.

Just checked @mind coming up a bit more expensive than Nova but will keep an eye on the deals an d delay the booking for a couple of weeks.

I stayed there for 12 months. Nice place, nice staff and conveniently located if willing towalk for 5 mins. Streets around it are narrow but fine.

Be careful, there are many street dogs on that narrow street.

my mate and i stayed there for 10 days from april 25 - AWESOME PLACE

they have a little golf cart thing that will drop you to 2nd rd or big c (big c just up the road)

we were at soi 6 and WS most of the time

can get straight through lane ways to LKL metro and drinking street is close

we had a 2 bed room place but the 1300b rooms are spot on

have to stay in the main building as the Jameson building is older and needs some work

beds are huge, no joiner, everything is easy access

would of stayed there in August but main building was booked :(

can send video of room if you send me ur email

I stayed at Nova Park Executive Suites apartments for the month of May 2007. Yeah, I know - long time ago.

I had a one bedroom (Large bed that came in handy for romps)

with its own little kitchen (see attached photos).

I did take room service from Jameson's pub, they had some good meals for cheap delivered right to my room. NO Joiner fees - ever. Cool staff, room was cleaned everyday (I could have paid a cheaper price for the room if I didn't get it cleaned everyday). No balcony connected to the room (that didn't bother me).

Close to Soi 6 (walking distance).

Motorbike taxis available outside the property.

The room I had on the 6th floor had a tucked away location making it quiet. There was a desk for my computer - wifi was included with the room. There was a sitting area, 2 TV's, one in the bedroom. Nice closet area. A view out the window of suburban Pattaya from the window.

The bathroom was well appointed.

There was no street outside your window. I was not staying in the Jameson building. Cheap laundry facilities very close by.

Close to Big C.

Very nice NICE pool area with an outdoor shower - see attached photo.

I did take private baht buses back to the Nova apartment when I had a bar fine with me - that was cheaper than paying for two motorbike taxis back to my "loom" from Walking Street.
