Have a flight from Don Muang to Phuket next week at 12 noon, I am just wondering about my options for getting from Pattaya to the Airport? Should I take a taxi or else maybe get a bus or something. Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.

My advice is to catch the bus from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport which should cost you about 140 Baht.

This journey will be close to 90 minutes.

Once at Suvarnabhumi you can catch the “Free”shuttle bus to Don Muang which takes about 45 minutes.

If you want to fly at 12 noon then you need to be at Don Muang by 11 am so I suggest catching a bus at 8.30 am to give you ample time.

You could always catch a taxi but you will still need to allow 2 hours travel from Pattaya so you are leaving at 9 to 9.30 am and spending over 1500 baht.

I concidered all this and eventually booked a flight from Utapo on Bangkok Air. 700 baht taxi and 2650 baht airfare but much less hassle than air asia.

There are some that only employ words for the purpose of disguising their thoughts.

Did this trip on monday 7.30am van from Pattaya thai to Victory Monument 100 baht-2.15 hours-walked to opposite side of the Monument (Rajvithi rd) and caught the 29 local bus to Don Mueng 35 minutes and 18 baht-waited 10 minutes for the bus to turn up-maybe not the quickest but certaianly the cheapest way-around 3 hours total. :GoldenSmile1:
