Lock 9 Year – Old Rescued By Police Officers

Police officers and various other locals rescued a 9 year-old that was locked in a house. It was reported that she wasn’t given any food to eat.

NAKORN RATCHASIMA – June 19, 2013 [PDN]; Mr. Nakorn Kitipooltanakorn, Mayor of Soongnern sub-district, together with community volunteers were informed by teachers from Atchara Kindergarten that there was a girl locked in a house. Police officers of Soongnern police station immediately rushed out to rescue the girl.

The house where the girl was locked in at was later to be Mrs. Somjeen’s house. The teacher of the girl, Mrs. Narisara went together with the police to forcefully open the door that was locked from both the inside and outside. When Mrs. Narisara said shouted her student’s name, immediately responded to her teacher. After confirming that the girl locked in the house was indeed Mrs. Narisara’s student, police officers opened the door by force, which made her 9 year-old run out and hug Mrs. Narisara.

Mrs. Narisara said that her 9 year-old student moved to Atchara Kindergarten on June 16, but after a few days, she saw that her student had wounds on her face and arms, when Mrs. Narisara asked what had happened to her, she wouldn’t respond as she was said to look feared at something. She later found out that her student had to go arrive at home before 04.10 PM daily, if she came back home late, her mother would punish her. Up until the morning of June 19, teachers noticed that the 9 year-old was absent, which made them ask for help from the mayor, which ultimately led to the rescue of the 9 year-old.
Police Maj. General Trakarn Saksrikom, the Investigation Officer that opened the case said that after questioning locals and teachers at Atchura Kindergarten it was known that the father of the 9 year-old was working in the north of Thailand, which made him have to entrust his daughter to his brother. Police will now have to question Mr. Thanawat, the girl’s uncle.
