Hi i was just wondering if anyone knew which stop i would get off at, and how much it would cost me for a baht bus from the stop to Soi Buakhoaw?

My arrival time will mean i will probably just miss the Bell Bus, and last time i had a bad experience with a taxi driver.

Cheers

If you mean this one http://www.airportpattayabus.com/

Click on "FAQS" for the Pattaya drop off points then have a look on a map for these points as it depends which end of Soi Buk you are staying.

South or Central drop off, you could walk down to Soi Buk then jump on a baht bus to your hotel....don't ask the driver "how much?" it'll cost you 200baht instead of 10!

Bus drop off is at Sukhumvit and Central and/or Sukhumvit and South Pattaya.......Soi Bukaow is between both points....

Look along Soi Buk' and you'll find Soi Chayapoon....

Get off at Suk' and Central Rd, walk over the road onto Central and flag down any baht bus heading into the city (towards the beach).

Get off at Soi Buk'...I assume by the amount of posts you have your not a 1st timer and know where to get off???

Jump on another baht bus heading down  Soi Buk' (or its a sweaty 200 metre walk).....look for Champagne Agogo on your left....Champagne is on the corner of Soi Buk' and Soi Chayapoon.......Chow Soy is 50m up Chayapoon on your right.

Now I've said all this.....another BM is now gonna probably say aaaaah...but there's an easier way!

" aaaaah...but there's an easier way!"

Actually BM Bobdabuilda is pretty spot on.

I recently caught the “bell Bus” at 7pm from Swampy and it drops off along Sukhumvit just like the other bus. The cost was 135 Baht. I actually expected the 200 baht hotel drop off service but that wasn’t on offer in the evening service. People started getting off along  Sukhumvit and I wasn’t familiar with the stops so asked the “assistant “ and   got off in the wrong place next to a group of Motor bike taxis. They wanted 200 baht to take me and my suit case to Soi Lengkee.

I declined and walked the wrong way along Sukhumvit. When I eventually got to South Pattaya Road there were baht busses waiting but they also saw the suitcase and wanted to charge “private taxi rates”.  Walk down a hundered meters or so and wait until a  normal baht bus passes and stops...then jump on for a 10 baht ride to Soi Buakhao.  Change busses for another 10 baht ride down Soi Buakhao and get off at Soi Dianna and walk a hundred meters or so to Chow Soy.

You will get there for a total of 155 baht but after a long flight you might think the 200Baht ride from Sukhumvit is well worth it.

Good Luck

Champagne is not on the corner. Look for the purple hotel on right hand side then few hundred meter after you get subway on right or oasis on left. Get out there

holy crap... after a 24 hour plane ride the last thing I want to do is lug a bunch of luggage around and take a bunch of baht busses...

for 30 bucks for a taxi, it is well worth it to me.

of course the way I come, I get to BKK almost at midnight...  no other choice really...

but still, I have done the baht bus thing after returning to Pattaya from Siem Reap, and it was a freaking sweaty nightmare, with people giving me the exact opposite directions etc etc...
