You're going to get a mix of answers here.....

Personally, I haven't stayed in the same place twice yet.  However, I tried a condo in VT6 last trip, and will take the same location again if I can get a booking.

Many Mongers stay at the same hotel due to a combination of location and liking the service there.  Thais are also very good at remembering you too, so it's kinda nice to climb out of your taxi at the end of a long haul, and be greeted with a smile and "welcome back Mr Perthie".

So far, I haven't stayed in a place that was ideal for me, so I've kept on moving, trying out different styles and locations.  As I mentioned before, having a centrally located condo was a great experience and something I'd like to try again, so maybe I have found my 'home' in Pattaya.

Cheers

Stayed at the same place for my last 18 trips and leave my Thai suitcase in their storeroom between visits.  :GoldenSmile1:  Many of the guests who stay at Nantana Garden View are all multiple repeat guests.  :GrinNod1:  It is girl friendly 15,000 Baht per month, swimming pool, free WIFI, security guard and quiet. Often thought about staying somewhere else especially low season (many good deals about) but remained loyal due to them always finding me a room at the busy time (Xmas) despite turning away many people. :GoldenSmile1: What i will do on my return from LOS i will do a review for you all on Nantana along with a few photographs.  :Bye5:

I've been to Pattaya now 11 times and I think I've stayed at the same place about 5-6 times

I do like to try other places from time to time but in the end I always go back due to location, price and friendly service.

Same hotel for many years from 2002 - The main factors are due to Better service, staff, they welcome back with smile, location & feel some-what safe for me and my money  :ThumbUp6:

Yes always start my Trips in the same place, then after a Week or so, maybe move on and try another few favourites.

This works out well as the Girls who sometimes turn up looking for fail to find me 5555555

I like my Hotel I start with, the Staff are great, they know me, and I trust them to cater too my needs It is almost like coming Home and I guess in a way it is.

I generally change hotels every 2nd trip as I like variety.Sometimes only stay at a hotel once if I don't like it.

Always stay at the same hotel in Bangkok though which is Majestic Grande, love it.

I always stay at http://www.canterburytalescafe.com/ as the location is great, the staff friendly and helpful and I have never had a problem there. I have often left my camera out and several thousand baht on the side and it never gets touched, also BM Daveo(the owner) is a top man!

I am curious how Canterbury stacks up against the Soi Choy across the street.

Started Page 10 and enjoyed then girlfriend talked me into staying at the Iris Residence near Walking St ...the cost was 800 baht per night as opposed the 1800 baht I was paying with Page 10 the extra 1000 baht a night I was saving was more than useful and loved the location a couple of great places to eat nearby that I would never of found otherwise and a short stroll to Walking St ....now rent small condo in the Nurin complex and love that so far ...a little farther out but dirt cheap at 4500 per month plenty of great bars around still only 10 minutes from anywhere it's impeccably kept by GF and is home away from home.

I usually return unless they give me a reason not to.

I stayed at Aya twice last year but it was way too noisy on my last stay there. A group of guys had a few rooms on the same floor and would keep calling to each other and banging the doors every 2 minutes. Kept wishing they'd go out and bang somebody instead.

I've now stayed at Dusit D2 on my last two trips and it's been pretty great.

But the rate was a lot cheaper due to a credit card promotion. If the same promotion is still on by my next trip, I'll definitely stay at D2 again. Otherwise I've got a hard decision to make.

i stay in same hotel until something happens that makes  me change,

stayed in sunshine hotel for many years ,but after major renovations i changed hotels .

now flipper lodge my favorite ,good staff ,great location ,breakfast/brunch until 1 pm  .

thougt about changing to sabai wing this year, but the low season promotions convinced me to stay at flipper lodge.

also thought staying 2weeks flipper lodge and reaining 9 days at sabai sing.

but i know i dont realy like moving once i settle in ,so wont do that.

so as long as price / quality remains great i keep going back to same hotel.

Yes, booked the fourth trip now at 'At Mind'. Once I find a place that I'm comfortable with, it's not worth taking a gamble with another hotel.

Used to stay at Residence Garden for the value and the room size but the location wasn't the best for the view. Now stay in a few in Jomtien and appreciate the beach views although the ride back from WS on the baht bus gets to be a pain in the @ss. Living on the edge and hiring motorbikes is less hassle.

I'm in Pattaya 2-3 times a month and have always stayed at the Pattaya Bay Resort since it opened.  It's not as good as it used to be (ever since Kim and Boem left) but it still feels like my Pattaya home.

if you find a hotel you are comfortable with at a good price then why not keep returning.

However there are lots of good hotels in Pattaya, depends which location you like, price, staff friendliness, Everyone has there own likes and dislikes

I use to change hotel every time but sometime go back to flipper house that was my first accomodation in Patts

I always stay at the same hotel (Mike hotel, Second road) it is in a great location for me close to Walking street. It is not a fancy hotel but it is clean and I get a good deal. They have always had a room for me even when I have just turned up with no prior booking. The staff remember you and bonus is no extra charge for friend or friends to join you.

NGV doesn't appear to have a website.

They don't need to advertise due to regular long stay clientele. If you put the name in the search box on PA you will see some photographs about it.   :GoldenSmile1:

At first I tended to stay at the same Hotel but now on a two week trip I will stay at 4 different Hotels / Guest Houses.

I don't think loyalty is all that much a benefit these days.

I stayed at Canterbury Tales last year and have booked the exact same room again next august. The room I had is opposite Chow Soy, so from my balcony I had a nice view of cute massage girls outside the shops a cross the street. From the Chow Soy room you can enjoy the sight of Dave and a bunch of hairy expats sitting outside Canterbury Tales. Personally, I'd rather ogle the massage girls.
