Travel question for 19 year old

I am planning to take my thai girl to Singapore. I live in Singapore. I have asked her to visit for 15 days first, since I want her to get a feel of Singapore. Since she is Thai,she can get her visa one on her arrival in Singapore. 

 

She will be 19 in August. I heard that, if a girl has not completed 20, there are restriction's for her to travel alone abroad. She has to get a letter from her parents authorizing her to go travel alone abroad. Is this true? Or is any thing else required?

Just be aware that some Thai women get grief when attempting to enter Singapore, not all but some, I am aware of a number of girls who have been refused entry, even when travelling with their partners.

 

I assume you will be collecting her at the airport, or even travelling with her, make sure you're ready to answer any awkward questions. Chances are she will be fine, but be prepared.

 

Just one technical point, your girlfriend will not get a visa on arrival she will be admitted for 30 days, no visa required.

Thanks for the Info. I will be colecting her at the airport.Is she expected to carry "show money" to prove that she can support herself? She will be staying with me, is she expected to have hotel reservation or any thing of that sort?

I brought my Thai wife there in 2005. She had a Thai passport which showed her last name was changed to mine. I'm American. She only got a 2 week visa at the airport upon entering. They would not issue her a longer one since she was Thai. Good luck.

Absolutely right. My TGF came to Singapore on her own last year and was taken out of the immigration queue and questioned.  Luckily she was prepared and had S$500+, my name and address and my phone number. They fingerprinted her anyway but let her through. She speaks pretty good English and ended up translating for two other Thai girls who were also stopped and had no money, no contact address etc. and were getting the third degree. We never saw them at the baggage carousel, so presumably they were prevented from entering.

You will find that having monies and your contact details on her are a bonus, but most Asian countries are making is simpler now due to the opening of the Asian markets in 2015,

 

Take in to consideration Japan which has always been fairly difficult to get a visa for have just wavered the need for a Thai to obtain a visa, all Asian countries now are seeing the need for an increase in tourism,

Sounds great, does your GF work in a Bar or did you meet her somewhere else? If she is from a bar she will look for ways to make big money in Singapore and leave you in a hurry. Lots of Thai girls work in Singapore for extra cash, they make big money fast and then head home after their visa expires. So be careful, you only know your GF.

If they get copped in Singapore playing games mate or overstaying a visa they are in deep shit I have seen it at first hand how an offense 10 years ago, which was overstaying a visa is coming to bite her arse even now,
