Children Merely Escape Crocodile After Jumping Down Pond

Children in Rayong jumped down to play in a pond, but they were surprised after they saw a crocodile. Making them rush out the water as soon as possible. The crocodile was believed to have escaped from a local crocodile farm.

RAYONG – June 16, 2013[PDN]; At 03.00 PM, Journalists and reporters in Rayong were informed by locals that a crocodile as found in a public pond. The reporters then rushed out to the reported pond. The pond itself was 50 meters wide and 100 meters long. Locals surrounded the pond looking at the crocodile.

A 14 year-old who jumped in the pond told the police that he jumped down the pond with 4 other friends. But as they were playing in the water, they saw a wood log that floating in the water. Out of curiosity, one of the boys dived down and shockingly saw a crocodile underwater. The boy then alerted all of his friends and rushed out of the water.
A local said that the crocodile the children escaped was about 2 meters long and weighed about 40 to 50 kilograms. It was believed that crocodile escaped from a local crocodile farm. The owner of the local crocodile farm admitted that 5 of his were missing from his farm. The crocodile that was found now has been moved over to a area where it could safely live.
