A Gang Of Thugs Attempt To Threaten Merchant Backfires

A gang of thugs weren’t happy that a merchant parked his vehicle in their spot. They then approached him with a fake gun and threatened him, but the merchant also had and fired back at the thugs, which killed one of the thugs.

PATTAYA – June 16, 2013 [PDN]; At 06.00 AM Police Colonel Janket, Chief of Nong Prue police station was informed that there was an incident where a group or gang of thugs were having fight against a merchant at Soi Nern Plub Wharn. The incident happened at the Poi Pret market.

When police arrived at the scene, police found 22 year-old Mr. Ponnai Sornpo, he was shot twice and was in a severely injured state. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he died soon after he arrived.

Police were able to track-down and arrest the suspect that shot down the 22 year-old. The suspect was later known at 46 year-old Choochart Dorntong, who used to be the assistant of a village headman. Police will now take further actions against him

With CCTV, and a numberplate, witnesses, you don't have to be Einstein  to work out who brandished a gun first - fake or otherwise. Let them have the parking spot.

 

In Singapore, having a fake gun or even a bullet, is I believe up for the death penalty. No Idea why the Thai police would not severely 'fee' the perp, and be sincerely thankful for information received.

 

For foreigners, and the Russians love them too, a multi camera HD vehicle camera takes very clear pictures. Just be sure you can duplicate the SDCARD in a jiffy, if you your advantage. But always walk away - you can't 'win'. I've not heard of any 'packs' being soundly punished. The outcome will be interesting.
