Hi All,

I've been to Pattaya 4 times and have always stayed in hotels. Last time I was there was last month and we stayed up near Soi Naklua near the roundabout. I prefer low season but really don't want to wait until next May to return so I am going back in January and thinking of staying for a month. I've had a poke around here trying to find out about Condos in Pattaya or Jomtien but info seems scarce. Can any recommend a website and or agency that will do one month rentals on a nice condo please>

I can recommend to contact Khun Nat, a very nice lady who runs Pattaya Taxi 24/7 (picks u up in nice car and runs u to Patts for a clean 1000 baht btw., waiting with name sign in arrivals and always on time etc.)

She usually has several very nice, modern, top class condos in buildings like Avenue Residence (where I am staying right now!) and Urban in Soi 15 Buakhow, sort of half-way btw. Soi B. and WS and close to Avenue Shopping Mall (with Villa Supermarket etc.) ... Email her: [email protected]

Facebook: Nat Pattayataxi.

I have been following the condo developments that went up behind The Avenue mall in central Pattaya, and I was hoping Mr. State might post additional details.

First, how do you find that part of town? How long does it take to walk to Second Road? How long to walk to Soi Buakaow? At night is it dark and dodgy? Or do you feel safe?

Second, what is you opinion of The Avenue Residence condo? What are the rooms like in terms of size and amenities? How is the Internet speed? Available TV channels? Bathrooms? Pool and other common areas? Finally do you think renting a condo there is value for money?

Thanks in advance to Mr. State and anybody else who wants to weigh in.

You'll be hard pushed to get a good deal on a condo for a month if you are using an agency, in general agencies are loooking for long term renters (ie 6 months pus), there's not much profit in short term renters, especially not with stays under 3 months. Private renters are also the same, there's not much profit renting out for one month unless they whack up the price.

You are much better looking for a serviced apartment, like one of the LK group (Premier, Pavilian, 19th, Crystal Palace, Legend),  Mooks, Mosaic,.or wth someone like Yensabi Condos.

I've been staying at the Avenue: the location i very handy bc you can walk to soi Diana, Central or WS but I suggest to rent a motorbike ( usually 2500 per month). I was there in August 2012 and I paid through the agency 24.000 for a one bedroom and it was pretty cool; every room has different decoration but usually you have everything u need including one TV each room. I like using the swimming pool and having sunbath but the swimming pool in there after 01.00 pm doesn't have so much sun so beside that detail the staying was ok so go for it.Of course since it's a condo u should pay no more than 1500-2000 for water/electricity bill and in any case the total expenses are less than any other decent accomodation

I stayed at Ave. about 2 months in 2011. Not easy to get month by month. Real nice room, I was facing the inside over the pool. There was a darn loud karaoke just to the north so if the place faces north (to the outside) check it out. I mean very loud and late. Otherwise nice, I'm a bit over the 2nd road, Soi Baukaou scene although I'll not pass up a chance to get out on the town now and then. Overall good.

Check out the Bonkai Resort which is about halfway between Pattaya and Jomtien. It is off the main road so it very quiet which I like for a good nights sleep.Standard room is the same as the Superior except they are on the second floor.Price is 18,500 baht .Probably advisable to get a scooter, which they will organise for you,or there is motorbike taxis at the top of the road

The Stags Head in LK Metro do rooms including breakfast from 12,000 baht but obviously no pool

would need to get over my fear of scooters if I stayed there I suppose...

I keep hearing about View Talay. Is it just because there's so many of them or are the locations, like 1&2, good. Anybody have personal preferences there or another complex?

http://dancewatchers.com/  is the one most people on the forum use I believe.

Condo's in the View Talay's 1-6

Yes, I can also recommend Dancewatchers - they are very professional and it is a One-Shop-for all. You can get them to arrange a Taxi (if you need)or rent a Motorbike... and they are very helpful.

I have stayed at View Talay 6 twice, and will be staying there again... great place, great location... 6 is on 2nd road near soi 9 (yes?), next to Central Festival and Hilton Hotel, etc, very easy to get to all points of the playground in Pattaya from there.

huge studio apts with kitchens, great pool, massage and shops and all sorts of services right on the main floor...

the other View Talay's are in Jomtien, have not stayed there but am considering doing so next trip.
