Halong Bay Gains Increasing Global Media Awareness

In recent years, Halong Bay has without doubt gained more and more attention from not only travelers, but also media and travel experts all over the world. The long-standing title World natural heritage site and the recently awarded New World Wonders have contributed much to this important change. In turn, the broad coverage of Halong Bay in world’s newspaper brings more people to see the Bay and created numerous opportunities for business and locals alike.

Recently, this charming bay of Vietnam appeared on reputable news website Huffington Post on an article of famous travel writer Dana McMahan about rock climbing. Along the line, the Guardian also portrays cruise trips in Halong Bay as one of the must-do classics that travelers should not miss while in Asia. The most recent press publication is by Jyllands-Posten – the most famous Danish newspaper and magazine, in which journalist Mads Severinsen discussed his experience with Glory Cruise trip with great enthusiasm.

Although Vietnam has been featured as a newly emerging destination, Halong Bay does not make up a significant appearance until the past few years. This global fame is regarded as a great opportunity for tourism industry in Halong Bay as more travelers are attracted by its spectacular sceneries and planning to visit this place, but on the other hand, this could be also a challenge, as local administration and services providers in this place are in need of more investment and enhancement to meet the demand and standard of international tourists.

Halong Bay is an allured bay in the North of Vietnam, and considered one of the most popular tourism attractions in the S-shaped country. The bay attracts travelers predominantly by its magnificent landscapes and topography of grottos and islets that might not be found anywhere else in the world.

There are many tour companies in Hanoi that sell tours dirt cheap. It's a day trip.
