5 Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling Down From Apartment

Police Lt. Wattana Pradit of Pattaya City police station was informed that a 5 year-old girl fell down from an apartment near Pattaya Third Rd. Police immediately dispatched a team to investigate.

PATTAYA – June 8, 2013 [PDN]; At 02.00 AM, The incident happened at a 5 story apartment named “Arcon Apartment”. At the apartment’s parking lot, police found the body of 5 year-old ‘Tukta’. She fell down from the balcony of the apartment, which severely injured her. She was then rushed to Pattaya Memorial hospital, but she died soon after.

Police then questioned Ms. Patcharin Morosot, age 32, who was the mother of the child. She told the police breaking out in tears that she was going to a staff meeting of the apartment, she said that she was worked as a cashier at the apartment. Ms. Patcharin said that she resided on the 5th floor of the apartment, where she left her two children alone. Her son was sleeping in his room, but his 5 year-old sister was climbing the balcony, which made her fall down.

The girl’s body will now be sent to the IFM or the Institute of Forensic Medicine, where the doctors will conduct an autopsy in order to find the real cause of the death.
